a site-specific installation in TANK gallery (Tallinn)

TANK is a wearable exhibition space founded by Ott Pilpenko and consisting of 10 enclosed cells each 2cm in diameter. Lollipop Elixir is an audiovisuallickable fairytale about life and death, developed around the potentially intimate architecture of the gallery. The installation encourages close contact between viewer and gallerist over themes of an erotic and grave nature.

The visitor is firstly directed by the gallerist to the headphone jack in the first juice cap cell, through which they can plug in and listen to the story of the lollipop elixir in English, Estonian or Russian. The following eight caps contain illustrative interpretations of the story, digitally printed on fabric from pencil drawings. Behind the final cap lies the lollipop itself, which contains the ingredients necessary to make those who lick it immortal or to bring about their grisly deaths.
