When I first drew up the block, in 2016, it was a personal and playful exercise made to tackle a couple of anxieties: one related to a social situation and the other to a domestic environment.
Now, in 2021, the fear of bodies and the claustrophobia of the domestic environment hits – well, differently. Throughout the pandemic, this print on my wall has helped me to see the humour and ridiculousness in fear and drama, helped keep discomfort around other bodies (and around my own body at home) let’s say manageably proportional.
